End Of Arm Tooling: Scribing Tool
Nimer Mercado, Taniya Ranepura, Francis Reynon
The End of Arm Tool we have created is designed to Scribe patterns onto the Surfaces of Clay.

Sgraffito, or "to scratch" in Italian, is a decorating technique in ceramics. It is the process of scratching the secondary coating of slip (liquid clay) or glaze off a preliminary coating to create a pattern or decoration. This process is usually executed by hand using clay carving tools; however, with the help of the Robotic Arm: ABB IRB 120, we will explore the possibility of attaching or creating a scribing tool for clay.

The project is designed to hold various existing clay carving tools.
